Well, the check from FedEx arrived yesterday and the replacement tank arrived today. I'm going to start setting everything up tonight.

I do plan on using new live sand. I figured I would do enough of the water to have some in the new tank with the live rock. Then start to siphon the water over and move the live stock. thanks for confirming that this would work. I thought it would, but I'm by no means an expert at any of this.

A few, most didn't turn out to great because of the strong current in some places. Well that and I used one of those throw away underwater cameras.

I talked to someone from FedEX today and it appears they have accepted my claim and I should get a check sometime next week. They covered the whole amount I submitted.

I went ahead and called the manufacturer to see if I could get one from them and at what cost. They are sending me a replacement, cost me $80 plus shipping. not too bad.

She couldn't find the recipt, but as long as they will pay to replace the tank I will be happy.

FedEX is sending someone out Monday to assess the damage since it was insured, but I just want to know incase they do not cover it for some reason. either way they will only cut me a check and I will have to get a replacement if possible.
