    check the shells on your bumble bees. the ones with one yellow line are the ones that arn't reef safe. the ones with 4 or more yellow lines are ok.

    if you plan on keeping any fish dont get a green brittle fish. green brittles are widely known as fish eaters. red, brown, black, etc are some good colors to get or even better, look into serpent stars. they look alot better than brittles IMO

    i know if they get stuck under SPS corals that itll cause the flesh there to die and cause necrosis in some LPS but im not too sure about other corals.

    i used a sony DSC-P8 cybershot with a magnifying glass as a macro lense. i used the regular point and shoot settings with macro mode on. i was quite surprised that the photo turned out the way it did.

    if you're lucky you can find a midas blenny for 15, but they usually run around 25 here in SoCal.

    honestly, it doesnt take much to run a great nano. for a 10g the 96w that chipmaker suggested would work great. For filtration LR and good current is all you need, a skimmer is not necessary. If you're looking for more help www.nano-reef.com would be a great place to check out.

    yes, take it to the LFS. usually you just use caution when keeping cowries in a reef, but i wouldn't take the risk.

    what makes corals colorful?

    corals colors come from symbiotic algae called zooxanthellae. when given enough light they provide food for the coral as well as its colors. without it the coral would look transparent. thats why if you keep corals in the dark for a while it becomes bleached

    pretty blurry pic but it looks like a bristle worm to me. its not harmful at all.
