I've used the dawn method before on our cat, worked real well at killing the adult fleas. We also used advantage afterwards, no probs after that. I think the key is to clean the areas and vacuum alot to rid them of the house as well. We had a family here in town give their daughter a shampoo...

Check the archives, there's a good post in there about alk and calc. and how they affect your Ph. Also do some searching on here, seems I read somewhere on here that the time of day (ie. morning or evening) can have some affect as well.

I'm glad to hear I am not alone with the 1.026 issue, I've read enuff posts on here and thought I was ok. They didn't refuse their guarantee based on the salinity difference, I don't think they would but we'll see. Thanks for the input, much appreciated.

Took a water sample in to the lfs, they require a sample for their guarantee. Everything was good as expected but they told me the salinity was too high. It is 1.026 which I didn't think was too high, they recommend around 1.021 ish. Current livestock list is.......... 2 perc. clowns 1...

I got one finally, along with a couple clowns. The cleaner is a hoot to watch, just when you think he's not paying attention, he comes out of nowhere to grab the clown food that hit the sand. He also tries and tries to reach out and grab the clowns as the whiz by but they won't sit still long...
