    Test kits for Cupramine

Thanx Guyz; No Red Sea available locally either. Found out after searching all the LFS's the only thing available was the Aquarium Pharmaceuticals test, (what a waste of a Sunday, missed half the Superbowl) so I ended up with that, luckily enough it seems to work okay. I would have gone the...

    Test kits for Cupramine

The Seachem & Salifert copper test kits are not available in my area. Does anyone know if the marineland/instantocean copper test kit for free ionic or non-chelated copper formulations will work? If not, any other suggestions?

    Can you Forcefeed a Fish?

I'm tempted to try it, wondering if anyone else has.

    My Hyposaline Adventure... (so far)

Had fish back in DT for four days now. Nevertheless hypotreatment has taken its toll. My flame angel & YW goby quit eating weeks ago pulled the flame out tonight back to qt to die as he has entered his death spiral and I don't want him dying in the rockwork. YW still seems pretty spry despite...

Personally, I'd just leave it, but you could probably suck it out w/ a syphon hose.

    my plywood tank build thread

You know, now that I look at it a little closer, I don't think those screws alone will be up to the task of holding your corners together. Afraid that once loaded they will rip through plywood. :scared: While your glass cloth will take a lot of that strain, I'd reinforce all your joints with...

    my plywood tank build thread

Good luck, I'll be observing with interest. BTW, where/how are you planning on putting your bulkhead fittings? Do you plan to glass them over?

disappearing white spots on a yellowT?

Could be air bubbles, but probably not. Tangs are active swimmers. Ich tomonts will drop off on their own, thats part of their life-cycle their offspring may return later in spades. I'll keep my opinions on tangs to myself.

    Pump advice

I've been running a Sequence Dart on my 125 for several months after having had a bad experience with a mag 24. I can't begin to tell you how happy I am with the Dart, it is dead quiet. I understand the Iwaki's are wonderful pumps, but they are not cheap and I believe you voiced some concern...

    Anyone thought of this?

Had my DT lying fallow for 7 weeks due to an outbreak of ich, during which I've had some time to tinker. I like piling my LR up against the back of the tank, this presents obvious circulation problems beneath and behind the rocks to which I might have found sort of an answer to detritus...

    My Hyposaline Adventure... (so far)

SG Has been back to normal since last Saturday. Since I only have three survivors, I broke down the 30 gallon bin and moved them to an old 15 gallon hex I had sitting around so I can better observe them before returning them to the DT. Here's the thing; my DTs been fallow for seven weeks. I've...

    My Hyposaline Adventure... (so far)

Oh crap, now i find this out! I've been siphoning in 5 gallons of full strength 1.028 seawater into the QT via an air tube once daily over about a three hour period. What I've read about the reacclimation process has been none to specific; 'just spread it out over 4-7 days'. Guess I should...

How Much Water Can I Change Out At One Time?

At any time. Trates are kinda high in my DT, (20 or so ppm) and I want to bring them down b4 my fish go back in. Gonna do one big change and a few smaller ones. Just wanna know how big the big one can be, without throwing my system into a cycle.
