    Removed 5 gals hypo, added 5 gals seawater. SG 1.014. I was wondering, since my QT should be (theoretically) free of ich now, is it okay to add the discarded water from it, to my DT to get used to the bioload? :notsure:

    Started bringing up salinity today! Removed 10 gals hypo water, replaced with 5 gal. fresh, and 5 gal. seawater. SG 1.011

    Sorry to hear of your troubles, I can relate. Your FW/SW ratio seems about correct. How did you calibrate your refractometer? Assuming your calibration is correct, and if you want to tough out the hydro procedure, may I suggest that you lose the sailfin tang in one way or another. IMO tangs are...

    50% water change, everybodys happy. Will start raising salinity this Wednesday when I do my next 50% water change. Plan on changing out 16.5% (5 gal) with fresh seawater daily.

    garlic extreem!

    I'd really be interested if someone could actually cite any serious research on the efficacy of garlic in treatment of disease in fishes, so far I haven't found any. Till then call me a sceptic.
