i have 1 vortech and one k4 on the other side of the tank now. the vortech is awesome and i got it for $200 used from a guy with glass a little bigger then 3/4" so it wouldnt hold on the glass. I wish i could get another one but i dont want to pay 400+ for another one right now. It does get hot...

spanko, that info seems to be old... lugols will not get rid of red bugs. Interceptor is the only way KNOWN to get rid of red bugs totally. There is alot of info on this on another reef forum. just use google interceptor and red bugs. a six line wouldnt eat them either. I have heard that...

i dont have any. the one i had, died the first night after putting him in qt. i have a 90g with 30g sump/fuge. lots of pods, worms, and other critters. i know about the requirments of the fish, what i am unsure of is if i should risk loosing another on by qting it. i have prob 100+ pounds of rock.

i take out the chaetomorpha and syphon out any detris on the top layer of sand with out disturbing the 5" bed of sand. then i trim chaeto and put it back in the refugium until next water change, repeat.
