I have a 12 gallon nano, and haven't changed the type of lights it came with - the sunpac ones, two white light, two actinic (all four different wavelengths). If I got a clam and placed it about 3/4 of the way up in the tank, would there be enough light for it?

Definitely mix up your water with salt before you do the water change. give it time to all melt.
