I noticed this morning that only 2 polyps/heads (not sure what they are called?) are turning whiteish on the edges and 2 other ones are a darker color than the rest of them. Not sure if it is growing, dying, or just being difficult, any help would be great.

I think it is just moving, I just over reacted. Thanks for all the help and info.

How long do they usually stay deflated, its been about 3+ hours now?

I have had it for just about a week, and was doing/looking fine until about 2 hours ago when it completely deflated. This is my first anemone so I'm somewhat clueless as to their behaviors. I fed it last Saturday...or so I thought I put a piece of silverside in the tentacles and had to go to...

I have 2 turbo snails in my FOWLR and woke up this morning to at least a half dozen tiny baby snails on my back wall. Is this normal to have them lay eggs or give birth? I'm assuming there is really no harm in them right now since they are the size of a pen head.

I was not able to save the clowns :( on the plus side the fire fish is doing good and showing no signs of being affected. How should I continue from here, do I need to let the tank sit for a while with out adding any new live stock? Is there anyway to prevent this from happening again. Or how it...

Thanks for the help, hopefully he makes it by the time I can start treating tomorrow. Should I treat the other fish, or wait for them to start showing signs of it?

Update: one of my clowns is doing terrible and wont eat. Has a fuzzy look to him and eyes are glazed over :( I don't know what happened or what to do

I bought a 20lbs bag of live sand (should be here next week). Is there any down side to having to much sand, as long as I only add small amounts at a time over a long period(few weeks)?

I have a few low spots, so it seems I should just a little bit to the areas that need it.

I have a 34g tank and when I started it I only put 20lbs of sand in (what the lfs sold me). After doing some more research it seems that is a bit on the low side. The tank has been up and running for 6 months, will it mess anything up if I add another 10-15lbs in?

Thats what we wanted were black, so we got these that were cheaper since they will change.

What type of camera are you after? Point and shoot, DSLR? How much are you wanting to spend? I am a Canon guy, so check out the Rebel series if you are wanting a DSLR, plenty of options and functions to let you do just about anything with them. Edit, just saw this was posted 5 months ago, oops.

Just bought 2 new carmel perculas from a different LFS, so far they seem to both be more active than the last ones. The employees seemed to have a better idea of their stock and knowledge of how long they have been acclimated into their tanks. Thats the best picture I could get without turning...
