That is what I found as odd they were not on the rock until after the rock was in the tank for almost 2 months. The water per every test I have run has been 0-0-0 for the last 6 weeks. Then in the last week these guys show up....

Thanks Bang Guy that gave me a place to start a search and it is what is known as a Button Tunicate.

Here is a picture of 3 of the clams in my tank I have at least 3 more that size but have only seen 2 of them move. Got this pic today and it was opened up a little and closed when I got home.

In retrospect although I have changed a few things before setting up the tank to run live...the only thing I wish now (maybe) I had done different was use a 20L tank for the sump instead of the tank I used. In the stand the display is on when pushed up against the wall that extra 4" less height...

So halimeda is what I have growing on my Florida live rock. Some say good some say bad...what do you all think? I know now why my PH has dropped as it has started growing the last week. should have better confirmation when I pick up my new test kit tomorrow and can test for calc, alk, ect.
