I am a n00b with a reef ready tank lol. Was wondering the piping it came with has drilled siphon holes in the pipe, but was wondering should I add some more? Should I drill the loc-line thats below the OF? Took a couple pics, am i just being paranoid?

Well been thinking about getting a brittle, some nass, cerith, and 2 cleaner shrimp or one cbb, a couple of emeralds and thats it. It is a 75rr, gonna go with peaceful fish and some corals.

I am setting up a new reef, was thinking of going with some nass and hermit crabs for the sand and algae. But was also thinking I could go with just snails nass/cerith/turbo's.. So what would be the better choice?

I was going to buy a 50 long from them, but felt that the customer service was not to my liking and the 90 day warranty is just wack also they void warranty if you do not put foam between tank and stand. Went to the lfs and got a 75rr for the same price as it would have cost me to get the 50...

Cool, yea got my bulb at walmart also the spiral kind) My fuge is probaly like 5-8 gallons it is about 8X12X7.. Was reading something about dosing iron to increase growth but from what everyone seems to say, you do not really need to. thanks for the fast replys

From what I been told its normal after you get some new lights. I would just siphon it out, or pull the rock and scrub it in a bucket of saltwater.

I went with some nova's I found for a good deal. Seem to be decent lights the 4 powercords are nice for the timer and etc. You can get individual reflectors fairly cheap. Everyone says the uvl and ati bulbs are the best in par. Do not know how true this is but one of the sales peeps from tek...

The 1.5 piping I bought, it fits inside the fitting from the pic. As for the pump my tank is rated at 700gph, after headloss and etc the mag 9 will still be putting about 800gph, figure that extra has to go somewhere? Yes i have a sump, i made it like this... skimmer>>>fuge>>>return. So i cant...

I have a 2 3's and a 1.. Would go with 2 3's or the 4. All around good Ph for the cash. If you have the money to spend go with tunze.

I am setting up a 75 RR. The only thing I could find that would fit the pipe from the tank is some plastic drain fitting but it is 1 1/2 inch.. Thats cool for the drain but was wondering, I am gonna use a Mag 9 for the return and it is only 3/4. How can i hook it up to the 1 1/2 also do i use...

ok, gotcha so i should be ok with softies but for sure no sps, from what i can understand) Might buy these and just put some retro reflectors in down the road and of course the ati, uvl bulbs)

Was wondering what people thought of this fixture? 4X54W with moonlights. Im gonna have a 55 gallon tank with softies and a few lps, will this light cut it? Heard a retrofit 2bulb tek fixture will beat the 4 bulb novas?
