Current Live Stock in a 120 long

In my opinion, you have enough fish in there. For a 120 you should be thinking 1 inch of fish per 5 gallons of water. You can add as much cleanup as you want and maybe a couple of reef safe star fishes. Not sure you are going to want to keep the lion in there though... I have heard both...

    Atlantic Blue Tang

I understand that they are all yellow when a juvi or mostly yellow with a tad of blue on it. It only turns fully blue when in the mature adult stage. On a easy to hard level of care, I have read they are a 4, 5 being easiest.

    Coco Worms

I purchased a cocoworm from a reef store... it never came out for like 2 weeks, DUH... I had it upside down in the sand. Anyways. Turning it correctly, it would pop in and pop out... I turned the flow up and it stays out very full all the time now.

OK.. I need advise or answers- which ever. I noticed a couple of days ago around 1 setof powerheads 3 or 4 white round spots. They basically looked like a water blister if you get a bad burn or blister from cheap shoes. Now today, these things are in all different sizes some as big as a dime or...

Changed to MH now have brown diatom growth

sand bed.. not sure that has anything to do with it, but it is crushed coral in the big tank, live sand in the 10g. The 10g is pretty deep about 3-4 inches. The crushed coral is about 3 1/2 inches, maybe a little more in some areas of the tank. The brown is just on the live rock, not a huge...

Changed to MH now have brown diatom growth

I have 2 anenomes in the tank. One purple carpet and one bubble tip. I haven't added corals yet into this tank. I have a 10 gallon nano with corals in it in which I also upgraded the lights on the same day which is also doing the same thing with the brown stuff. YES, I did gradually do the...

Changed to MH now have brown diatom growth

Ok, I know I have read more often times than not of this happening to others, but didn't realize it would happen once I changed lighting. My tank is 125g, I had vho pc lighting and was keeping lights on for 9 hours a day. My tank has been running since January. I went through the initial brown...

    frogspawn

play with the placement and the flow before you increase salinity, just saying thats what I did. I have always keep mine a little high because of anenomes and inverts. Get close to the tank and watch the water movement. Find the least ammount of movement with decent light and put it there away...

Dwarf Angels in a Reef tank? Need advice!

question is... how much do your corals mean to you? Everything I have read across the board says add with caution even when listed as REEF SAFE. Again, if you must have an angel, I understand that the pygmy are the "safe" ones. I had a blueface angel, but he didn't live but for like 6 months. He...

    frogspawn

I have read that frogspawn likes low flow. I added one to my nano tank over the weekend with mh lights and it wouldn't open that much for a few hours. I checked my salinity and bumped it up a tad to 1.026, moved it from middle less lighted area of bottom of tank in sandbed to right side of tank...
