    Green moss on the glass?

I have been battling green moss type growth on the glass of my 1 1/2 y/o 55 gallon tank. 2" live sand in the bottom and 20# live rock. Inhabitants include a small generic damsel, a corral banded shrimp, a skunk (cleaner) shrimp, and we once had a sand sifting star - though now we only have a...

ICH - QT - HYPO - Freshwater Rinse

I dropped the SG by adding 3-4 quarts of 82 F freshwater through a hose the size of an airline for a freshwater tank, this took around 20-30 minutes each time. Barely more than a quick drip. I arranged the delivery end of the hose so it added the FW right by the sponge filter to encourage...

ICH - QT - HYPO - Freshwater Rinse

I dropped the SG by adding about 3-4 Quarts of water every couple hours. The pH did change from 8.3 to 8.2 but I didn't think that would be a problem. The temps remained the same. I am lost! :notsure:

I forgot to mention that I had some PVC pipe fittings in the QT of various sizes so each fish would have a shelter. I also filled a 3" PVC pipe cap with LS from the DT to aid in the cycle. P.S. The scooter blenny does spend some time in the cap with the LS

    New Tank, Lots of questions

I started my cycle with a feeding of fish food. I had placed some LR (or so I thought, I get confused on that topic) but didn't see any resonse. The LR I had placed had been dry for some time and was white mostly. I went to the LFS and purchased some LR with growth straight out of their...

Somehting wierd about my cycle levels.

I have been casually following your saga, and missed some things. What size tank are you cycling? When did you start your tank cycle. On a side note, does anyone know if a emerald crab can survive harsh tank conditions like a tank cycling?

I have my 55g all set now. 80# of Nature's ocean bio-active live aragonite reef sand and about 5# of dry LR from the LFS. I dropped in some feed to help start the cycle tonight. Now for a few of questions... 1. Do I need to keep feeding the empty tank daily or is once enough? 2...
