    id Please?

We have some of those in out tank, too - only without the red. I don't think we could remove them, since I've seen our evasive gorilla crab try before with no success. (Yes, we will get rid of him eventually... we're just brainstorming right now, since we've tried all the tricks we know of!)...

    Royal Gramma compatibility with crabs

Thanks so much! I'm really glad because I love Royal Grammas, and I had already grown so attached to Princess Gretta. I'll keep my eyes open, but we won't stress-out about it. We appreciate the input! :joy:

    Royal Gramma compatibility with crabs

We just recently got a pretty little Royal Gramma (Princess Gretta) for our relatively new 42g. We already have tons of Scarlet Hermits and Electric Blue Hermits, and we were planning to get an Emerald Crab or two, but someone just told us that all basslets are crab-killers... especially Royal...

    Distilled versus Reverse Osmosis Water

Do you think the use of distilled water could have caused a major brown algae bloom? I only used one gallon in our 20 gallon tank. Two days later - BAM! The stuff is everywhere. I want to fix it before my husband gets home in a couple of days... Would a truck load of snails do the...

    Distilled versus Reverse Osmosis Water

Wow... Thanks! I'll have to check out Wal Mart, I guess. Who knew there were so many different kinds of water!?!

    Distilled versus Reverse Osmosis Water

Hello, all! I realize that this may be a ridiculous question, but - for aquarium purposes - is there a difference between these two types of filtered water? I find water labeled "distilled" everywhere, but I can't seem to find anyting that specifically says "reverse osmosis." :notsure...

    Scarlet Hermits losing legs!

Thanks, Peter. It's been awhile now, and I'm still waiting to see what happens... Like I mentioned, I don't have much experience, but it doesn't seem like they are doing too well. They still pop their little, yellow faces out every so often, but they have yet to move! :notsure: My husband...

    Scarlet Hermits losing legs!

Thanks for the advice all! I really don't know much about aquariums... All of our tanks are my husband's, but he's out-of-town and won't be back for awhile. I'm sort of the ignorant babysitter. ;) I think the sand-sifting star will be moving shortly to our 42 gallon aquarium. My husband...

    Scarlet Hermits losing legs!

Hello all! I appreciate any input you may have! About a week ago, we added 4 scarlet hermits and an emerald crab to a fairly newly-established, 20 gallon tank. There is plenty of algae for them to feed on... Our little percula is still happy as a clam. :happyfish Our sand-sifting starfish...
