I have a 55GAl tank that is about 1.5 years in the making. For the past few months I have been battling this algae problem. The reddishbrown algae builds up on the glass and covers the entire inside of the tank. I scrape if off one night and within a few days it is back. It is like a slimly...
Looking to invest into another tank. Prefer to get one with sump, lights, filtration, power heads, protein skimmer, etc......
30-125 gal with stand
Let me know
I have a 55g tank with 60lbs LR, white sand and crushed coral mixture as substrate. The tank has been running for about 8 months. I see other colors (red, green, yellow) in the substrate from the sides of the tank. Is this okay?
I had the same problem with a fish. The swelling went away after a couple of days. I believe the fish scraped his eye on a rock.
You could also do a search for Popeye...that is what it is called. hope this helps.

Yes, this fish is a week old. I have 1 yellow tank, 1 sixline wrasse, and 1 clown. No corals.
He has been going in and out of this one live rock. I haven't seen other fish bulling him.
I tested the water levels and they are all normal.
I have a royal gramma that is not looking good. Once of his eyes is swollen about twice the size of the other. It also has a white haze over it and he looks like he is swiming sideways. I will try to get a picture. Anybody seen or heard of this?

Multiple people at the LFS said a yellow tang would do well in my tank (55gal). My tank is 4 feet long so it is lots of room to swim. But, I have read lots of different posts here saying that at minimum 75gal is needed.
Now that I bought the fish I am now a little concerned. Why the...
Wow - that seems to be a bit eccessive. I would feel like I would be overfeeding.
I have 1 Yellow tang, 1 clown, 1 sixline, and 1 royal gramma and only feed once a day. But, I give a mixture of algae flake, regular flakes, and Mysis shrimp.
Got'em....I feel like flicking him in his little eyes... but am going to bring him back to the LFS. The tank is a little cloudy from moving the rocks...but am going to go get another fish to replace.
I beleive my blue damsel has killed my yellow tail damsel. When I first added the yellow tail the blue fish was nipping and chasing him. I haven't seen the yellow tail in over three weeks, so I beleive he is gone. I just added two new fish - a Royal Gramma and a Sixline wrasse. Now the blue...

Thanks.

Getting ready to buy our first fish. My wife and I really like the flame angel fish. We know we want to get a clown fish - will this fish play well with clown fish? What are some other recomendations of fish that do well with this type of angel fish?
