Thanks for the kudos. I buy corals I like while trying to envision where I am going to put them. Quote: Originally Posted by travelerjp98 How did I not see this thread earlier?!!!! I never see the Thompson Tang in a store and rarely online. A local store had him and I had to get him.

The 220 is 6 inches deeper and about 3-4 inches taller. Trying to stay away from crazy, but the upgrade was interesting. Had to empty the entire tank out, get it out from the back, and then squeeze the new one in there. It barely fit past the shelves and water heater.

    220 In-Wall Reef Tank

Hey all, long time no post. A couple of years ago I moved from Phoenix to Michigan and moved my 150 gallon reef tank and then built it in the wall in the new house. Last year, due to damage to the tank, I was "forced" to upgrade to a 220. I also added a sump/refugium/frag tank instead of the...

Here are some updated pics. I added a Rose Bubble tip anemone, a Blue Spotted Jawfish, Carpenter's Flasher Wrasse and a Dragon Goby. I couldn't get good pictures of the fish, but I took a close up of the anemone. I also just ordered (from another site) a Dussimer Tang, Blue Eyed Kole Tang...

    150 Gallon in-wall build

One of the best aspects of this setup is that I can work on the tank and make a mess with the water and don't have to worry about getting the carpet wet. There is even a drain in the floor about 6 feet from the back of the tank and the floor slopes toward the drain so no spill needs to be...

Here are some views from the back. Still a little work to do back there like run a set of dedicated electrical outlets and put in a sink, but at least it is now organized.
