    Skimmer or not?

Okay, this might seem to be kind of a dumb question, but I am fairly new to SW and I am reading the threads, but...and here we go: I have a 55g that is going to be a RT. Do I really need a skimmer or sump? The tank is 36x18x20 as in wxdxh It is not drilled. I am intending to put HOB filtration...

    What the heck is this?

If it is a fresh water eel, as we all think it is, you should clean it, smoke it and eat it. It is a delicassy in the Netherlands, where I am from. Over there they pay like $11 for HALF A POUND. That stuff is very tasty and very expensive.

I am a Dutchman in the US and I have caught myself a lot of times on those...

So, basically for all our supplies and tank-occupants we have to travel at least an hour and a half, one way. We are basically confined to the...

So, basically you also would be able to get like half tank wide, but double it, or am I going in the wrong direction now? I am trying to learn something and I surely don't want to make a huge mistake.

And do you always get the complete width of the tank, or how do you determine what size lights?
