    PH Meter Question/Problem

I have a Milwaukee Model SM101 PH meter. I calibrated it as per instructions with 7 and 10 solutions. I am mixing up top off water in a 6 gallon water bottle. It is RO water with the equivalent of approximately ¼ teaspoon of Kent Super Buffer. I put the probe in the water, it read 8.65. Over the...

Sump Return Pump - How Much is Too Much?

I am in the process of upgrading my return pump from my sump. I have a 55g reef/fish tank. I am replacing a 750gph return pump with a 1200 gph pump and adding a second overflow box. Is this overkill because it looks somewhat harsh inside the tank, although the corals aren't getting thrashed and...

    I've been thinking...Ick Problem....

My Kole tang has been demonstrating signs of Ick. He is difficult, if not impossible to catch. I have set up a QT tank that has not been cycled as of yet, set it up yesterday, barn door securely locked, horse nowhere to be found... After much research I cannot find enough proven information to...

    Crazy ich question

Could it have anything to do with the spots reacting to lighting? Seems the longer my lights are on, the more obvious the spots are.

    QT Question

Is it ok for me to put a clean, aquarium compatible natural rock, NOT live rock, in my QT tank? Thanks

    I think I have a problem...

QT is 29 gallons As far as daily water changes for my water problem, I was considering just changing the water in my sump, approx 15 gallons. This will keep my amount constant and I am thinking stress the fish a little less. Any thoughts?
