so my friend brought over a bunch of hermit crabs from Mexico and I was wondering if they could ever be put into my tank? They are in my quarantine tank right now.

This is basically what it looks like except no hawkfish or damsel. There is also now some protein skimmer stuff in the back that I covered up with LR but other than that it's the same. Oh yeah and there's a sail fin that needs to be returned to the lfs

OK, I suppose I could add more LR. should I put more rock in the middle of the tank instead of pushed up against the back? maybe I should just post a picture so you can see what it looks like lol

I did actually take out the sponge and bioballs out of my filter and replaced it with live rock fragments, but I never thought of putting a new sponge or a phosphate controlling agent in there. I just tested my water and everything seems to be in check. I did buy a heater but it's pretty low end...

ok so i have found that time has fixed my bubble problem, but i still do not know what level I should leave my bubbles at because my collection cup fills with water after about 5 minutes.

I just purchased an odyssea PS75 protein skimmer and It is my first protein skimmer ever. I barely managed to get it working, and i was wondering a couple of things. First, how high should I have the water level that leads to the collection cup? And Second, there are millions of micro bubbles...

nah, i don't have a quarantine tank so i just threw them in there. Will my invertebrates survive if I do the hypo salinity? i have never done it before.

I just bought 2 true percula clowns about a week ago from my lfs and I noticed a lot of little white dots on their fins. Is this ick or something else? I already had to deal with hippo tang ick enough... also what do you suggest to do to cure this sickness if it is ick?

I finally broke down and got 2 true percula clowns much to my roommates joy haha they are doing pretty well and everything looks pretty happy. do you think the 156W light could grow coral well or should i just get the better 192W light? it is 16" deep also...

quick update, i traded in my tang for 10 pounds of live rock and a Banggai Cardinal fish so now my tank looks great. I'll post a picture soon
