    I did actually take out the sponge and bioballs out of my filter and replaced it with live rock fragments, but I never thought of putting a new sponge or a phosphate controlling agent in there. I just tested my water and everything seems to be in check. I did buy a heater but it's pretty low end...

    I finally broke down and got 2 true percula clowns much to my roommates joy haha they are doing pretty well and everything looks pretty happy. do you think the 156W light could grow coral well or should i just get the better 192W light? it is 16" deep also...

    this is what it looks like now. 2 quick questions lol I have 2 40 watt t8 bulbs in the fixture and i was wondering if that was enough light for coral. I have 2 mushrooms and they seem to be ok. Also, what kind of fish could i get to complement the other fish in the tank?

    quick update, i traded in my tang for 10 pounds of live rock and a Banggai Cardinal fish so now my tank looks great. I'll post a picture soon
