Pulling out two gallons of salt water and replacing it with two gallons of R/O water droped my SG. It will take a lot of water changes to bring it back up. Next time I will turn off my top off and refill with salt water.

Just a little update on my acclimation I did put all of the fish together in the styrofoam box and started the drip method. After four hours before putting the fish in the tank I added a little food all of the fish but the gobbie were eating. I then added them to the tank with the lights off...

I am going to go with the drip method. I tested the SG of bag h2o was 1.016 my tank is 1.024. I think it will be less stressful doing the drip. All four bags were the same sg so I am going to do one container. Thanks for al of the replies.

The 75 gal I bought was set up using Coral Life salt. I have Instant Ocean and Reef Crystals. Will it be OK to use my salt or will I have to buy Coral Life?

Well now I am really confused. I took my H20 to be tested. It was 1.025. How do you tell the difference between refractometers. Mine was 125.00 and is supose to be for Salt H20. I calibrated it with distilled H20. I did notice while reading under SPG it said urine. It is a total solid meter.

Re checked the SG again and it is 1.016. I dont know if i looked at it wrong the first time or just had a brain f--t. I have re checked the refractometer and it is calibrated. It is a very good refractometer so I believe the reading. Should I just start adding a higher SP H2o a little at a time?
