I want to put a tang in my 75 Gallon reef tank. But, I want one that will stay small. My wife and I really prefer not to have large fish. Are there any tangs that will stay under 4 inches? I don't want them to ever feel cramped.

I am back with this mystery hitchhiker. The most common suggestion is that it is a ricordea, rather than an anemone. I fed it some shrimp to watch it eat. Does this help determine what it is? And, here it is again open:

My LFS gave this to me as a bonus gift a few weeks ago. I forgot what she said it was. I guess it is some type of mushroom. It is metallic-like and the picture doesn't do it justice, but does anyone know what it is exactly? The back doesn't ahve a normal mushroom stem, it has bubbles.

My diatoms have finally balanced out. No longer are they covering the sand and glass with regularity. The blenny and the watchman goby are keeping it all in check. So, is a green algae bloom going to follow? What else can I expect in terms of future, normal 'blooms'?

Today, when cleaning the tank, I noticed dozens of little white star-like creatures on the glass. They are white, the size of a period and have legs varying in length, 4-6 each. ANy idea?

One of my orange skunk clowns is getting very, very close to the hammer coral, and chasing others away from it. Is he going to try to 'host' to it? Will he damage the hammer coral? Is there any stopping him if that is what he chooses to do?
