    Tangs

I have four tangs in my 125gal right now. Shohal, powder blue, sailfin, and yellow. They all seem to get along fairly well mostly because they are all around 3-6 inches. Growing pains are a problem for the future, right now everything is cool. Besides there is no way to actually net a fish...

I have really high phosphates in my 55 gal tank. I do water changes every other week, but the phosphate levels stay rather high. Last water change they were at 5.0ppm. I use a canister filter and reef octopus hob protein skimmer. Other than more frequent water changes is there anything I can...

Lions - new additions - some tense moments, hope it will all be OK

Any feeding suggestions for a Fuzzy Lion. Had my dwarf for about three weeks and have been mostly feeding live ghost shrimp. Have tried chopped shrimp, claims, squid, but haven't actually seen the lion eating any prepared food. Seems that his tankmates beat him out to anything I try to feed...

    Sic Clown??

I have two maroon clowns. The larger of the two has a few lesions? A couple smallish on her fins, and one somewhat large one just under her eye. It appears to be a bluish-white color and looks a bit like a fuzzy mold. Probably been sic for a day or two. Other two clowns are not infected at...

    Sohal Tang info

A decent shot of my sohal tang. The coloration on mine seems much more subdued. I mostly just feed him pellets and dried seaweed using a veggie clip. Definitely the king of my tank. Hasn't really harassed the yellow tang though, and the Koran basically ignores everything.

    Anemones Compatablitly

I decided to go with a sebae. The two maroons started hosting in right away. The only downside is that its settled into a corner behind the rock wall and at the back of my tank. Seems to be doing good. Not sure how successful I have been at feeding it though. I have tried frozen foods...

    Trigger Comp

What else do you have in the tank with the sohal? I picked mine up for 89.00 at the LFS and was glad I did. Without question one of my favorite fish and from everything else I have seen a definate bargin.

    Trigger Comp

Yes, well I think all of my fish will eventually out grow my tanks. I have a hippo and a salfin in a 55 gal tank. The sohal is fairly small at the moment 5-6 inches, and the Koran is the larger of the two say 6-8 inches and still in the juvenile stage. Surprisingly everything is very...

    Trigger Comp

I was looking into getting a trigger fish for my 125 FOWL tank. Wondering about suitable tank mates. Currently have a Koran Angel and a sohal tang in the tank along with a few clowns. Considering Future tank mates such as dottybacks, valentii puffer, foxface, hawkfish. Mixing triggers and...

    Anemones Compatablitly

Thanks for the info, great site Karen and will have to spend some more time checking it out. Your 125 gal is making me consider getting better lights for my large tank!! Both of my maroons are about 3 months old and still haven't begun to develop the yellow bar. I was thinking a BTA because...

    Anemones Compatablitly

Was considering a Bubble tip anemone to go with my two maroon clowns. Wondering if the BTA would attack my goby, blemmy, or dragnet that is also in the 55 gal tank. Assuming larger fish like Wrasses and a small hippo tang would be safe with a BTA
