    Auto feeders

NUKE THE WHALES? REALLY? Thanks for the food tips. When I replenish I will give some of it a try. Still hoping to get some tried and true auto feeder referrals before summer gets here & we start traveling.

    Auto feeders

They get frozen brine & frozen reef plankton with a few drops of Garlic Xtreme. I mixed a few days worth in a glass that I keep in the refrigerator. Thats all they've gotten for the few years that I have a tank. They always seem healthy with good color & perfect fins & tails. Is there any other...

    Auto feeders

We only have to top off about once a week. And not even that much. The tank seems to be really stable. Maybe because there is about 2" of live sand and a ton of live rock. The fish all are happy and healthy. I don't remember what brand of feeder we used but it was round with a built in timer...

    Auto feeders

Its usually about 4 days but a week to 10 days once in a while. I've heard they can go fo a while without food but i'm not comfortable with it. People can go without food for quite a while too and survive but it gets quite uncomfortable. I just don't think its fair to them. Not too worried about...

    Auto feeders

Would someone please recommend a reliable auto feeder. It's a 40 gallon SW with 4 fish. The last feeder I used when we went away malfunctioned. It dumped all the food and we came home to a tank full of dead fish, except 1 clown. We have no one that can come in to feed them which would be ideal...

    Cowfish

Did the same!! Bought her without any research. I feel like she picked us like a puppy. Those eyes... She acts like a puppy the way she follows you around. She's Elsie the Cow, of course, thats why I call her a her.. We've only had her about 2 months and until now there's been no problems...

    Cowfish

No itching, no discoloration, her blue eyes looked perfectly clear. Fluval 405, 40 gal, 1 clown, 1 lemon peel angel, 1 royal gramma, hemits, 1 feather duster & a rock of mushroom coral. She always eats whats down in the water, but last night I saw her eating some from the surface. I wonder.....I...

    Cowfish

My cowfish was laying on the bottom. I've had her for a few months and she's never done this. She gets up and swims around a bit and then lays down for a while. She looks fine and is eating well. Is this normal behavior or should I be worried?

    Ragged fin

Thank you for all the suggestions. I guess first I'll check all the water levels, it has been a while. All I feed them is frozen brine, reef plankton & extreme garlic. They've been eating the same for years. And how did I get the tag "Yellow Tang" under my name? I never put that there & I never...

    Ragged fin

All I have are the 4 fish mentioned, lots of hermits, a feather duster & a rock filled with mushroom coral. Sand and lots of live rock too. It's only a 40 gallon tank. I have the double lights that simulate sunrise & sunset but at night the tank is completely dark. Is the moon light something...

    Ragged fin

I just noticed yesterday that my Lemon Peel Angel has raggedy edges on his bottom fin and on his tail. The rest of him looks very healthy and his behavior is fine. I'm sure it's not aggression in the tank because they've all lived harmoniously for quite a while and I see no changes. Everyone...
