Just live rock, live sand, a maroon clown, a occie clown, a striped cardinal, the purple pseudo, i have like 15 blue leg hermits and like 20 snails? lol i forgot the exact number but it's an assortment of torcus, nerith, cerith, and margarita snails.
yeah, i was kind of hoping it was that. but i gently nudged it with the end of the net and they didn't move. left them alone for hours and came back and still no movement and in the same spot in the tank. is it a bad idea to leave the bodies in there? i'm still kind of hoping they're just...
Hey guys, I'm pretty new at this whole thing so I'm completely lost. I made some additions to my tank (some more snails, a cleaner shrimp, and an arrow crab) and the latter two are dead. I had them for about three days and they seemed fine and then the arrow crab died. The next day I found...
The tank was on sale ;)
But seriously, I have always wanted a saltwater tank. My dad used to have one when I was little and he used to always take me to the aquarium. It's one of the few memories I have of him. I had a small freshwater tank I set up for my little brothers and that I did...

Really? Lol, I always get...
I was watching my tank because, well, it's fun lol. And my maroon clown has officially lost it. He's swimming the length of the tank back in forth in a rollercoaster type fashion. For all you mathletes out there he's pretty much doing a normal bell curve >< He's done it at least 5 times and...
Nice! Awesome stories and names lol

This is still fish-related, but didn't seem to go with any of the above categories. I just wanted to see who all names their fish and what they name them and why? Or why not?
I'll start :)
Name: Tremors
Fish type: maroon clown
Reason: When he was in the fish bag, he realized he couldn't...
Thanks, I'll look into it. I just found the search bar lol and I think there's a guy on this site who has a maroon and occie as a mated pair. I am worried because I really don't know if it's okay or if it's just that they're still young, so hopefully if they can become a mated pair they won't...

Just so you know, its never a sure thing that the clowns will chose to be host an anemone. I have two ocellaris clowns that havnt...
Thanks guys :)
If I would def. a BTA hands down, but I haven't put much thought into it. Seemed to be a good match for my maroon clownfish, but like I said I'm not confident enough in my skills (or lack thereof ><) to start introducing an anemone.
This is simply for knowledge sake. I don't have one and probably wouldn't even look into getting one for months. I notice people say they feed their anemones raw shrimp or squid or so on, but I'm assuming this isn't the squid you go and buy from your local grocery store. So where exactly are...
Yeah :/ Been to that site and others. Sad to think they'll grow out of it/ I wonder if a sex difference will change anything. I think the maroon might be a female just because it's been in a tank without any other clownfish for a while in the store. The other one I'm pretty sure is a male...
Okay, I know that everyone says never mix clownfish, but I was doing some research online and found an interesting remark on Animal Planet that if you introduce two species at the same time and similar size then they will be fine. Interested, I talked to some local fish stores about it and got...
