dead inverts

Hey guys, I'm pretty new at this whole thing so I'm completely lost. I made some additions to my tank (some more snails, a cleaner shrimp, and an arrow crab) and the latter two are dead. I had them for about three days and they seemed fine and then the arrow crab died. The next day I found the shrimp dead. The arrow crab kind of looked like it's head had been bitten off and I just assumed it was my purple psuedo's doing. But the shrimp honestly looked like it had been entirely ripped out of it's exoskeleton. The meat was on one side of the tank and the shell on the other. Again, my initial reaction is the purple pseudo. The guy at the LFS said it'd be fine as long as I got a big cleaner and it seemed to have been going fine. Does it seem possibly that this fish could have ripped the shrimp out of its body? Tbh I'm kind of getting fed up with the fish and have been seriously considering removing it from the tank. The only problem is the LFS I bought it from won't take it back. Not even just take it without refund and it's not like I have a spare saltwater tank laying around so I don't even know what I would do with it even if I decide to get rid of it. Anyway, I'm rambling. The parameters are good and the rest of the tank is doing just fine so idk :/ Any thoughts or input is greatly appreciated.

yeah, i was kind of hoping it was that. but i gently nudged it with the end of the net and they didn't move. left them alone for hours and came back and still no movement and in the same spot in the tank. is it a bad idea to leave the bodies in there? i'm still kind of hoping they're just faking dead ><

If it's a molt, after a day or so, it will disappear, and you'll see a shrimp walking around again.

What else is in your tank?

How large is your tank? Have you checked your water parameters and specific gravity. Inverts are often the first to notice fluctuations. Did you do anything like a water change or heavy top off?

Did you acclimate them? Like smartorl said, they are senative to water fluctuations and acclimation helps to get them use to your tank.
