I was just wondering what I can put in a 3 gallon picotope. I was going to get a pair of dwarf seahorses but then I decided that I have no one to give the fry to. I wanted to try to get just one but you have to feed them live stuff. Could I do one dwarf and maybe a mandarin goby? Just the dwarf...

Sometimes introducting a harlequin shrimp helps, but they mostly eat Asternias. It's best to just pick them out by hand. If you don't get them out and you have corals they like to hang on to polyps, making it hard for the polyps to open and they will steal food. What also might help is...

Well the hippo wasn't big he was only like 2 inches, the damsels were the standard 2-3 inches, the domino was like 4, the coral beauty was 3-3 1/2, the koran was pretty small...2 inches max and the humu humu was the same size as the niger - around 4 inches.

The tank is 300 gallons. He was added with my foxface after 10 damsels as test fish.

So I got a 3 gallon picotope aquarium and was wondering - what do I put in it? It's such a small tank and I don't want any fish that would jump out because it doesn't have a lid. Can I do corals? A small clown? Pygmy angel? Thanks from Taryn

Thanks for all the good advice but I do love him. His name is spook and he is a really beautiful fish. Even though he's eaten so many fish I'm going to take my chances :/ I'll keep everyone posted if he attacks again.

Do you have live rock? With such a small tank live rock can be a big contributor to nitrate spikes.
