    Considering Lighting/Flow Upgrades

Though my 55 is fairly new, I do plan to keep some harder corals at some point (within the next few months, hopefully). I realize, though, that in order to do this, I will be needing to upgrade my lighting and possibly my flow as well. My current lighting consists only of two T5s, an antic blue...

My First Anenome - a few questions

Good info. Thanks, and I don't mean to sound cocky or that I have more knowledge than I do, Just that my tank has been doing well so far. I plan to bring it back and wait a while, although I do like the little guy. Oh well. Thanks again for being so helpful.

My First Anenome - a few questions

Thanks for all the help you two :) @ Coral Guy, The tank is underestablished, it's true, but so far the tank is far exceeding what new tanks are supposed to do. and I run two 54w T5's. A 10,000k and antic blue.

My First Anenome - a few questions

I purchased this sebae anenome today. And I just had a few questions about it... 1) Is there any chance that my false percs will choose to host this anenome? 2) It looks bleached white... do they add chemicals to anenomes to do that? 3) ^ is that bad? 4) I've been told that phytoplankton and the...

Day-by-Day account of my 8 Gallon BioCube

Day two, July 22. New, smaller pieces of live rock today, all mollies alive and fed. Ammonia reading .25ppm, high but expected because of having three fish. No pics to post, moving the rock around made the water extra cloudy.

I've put the nano together to allow it to cycle while I decide what's going to go in it. https://forums.saltwaterfish.com/forum/thread/386793/day-by-day-account-of-my-8-gallon-biocube#post_3399231

Day-by-Day account of my 8 Gallon BioCube

I hope to keep this thread as a bit of a Tank Journal. I bought this used 12x12x12 BioCube a few days ago. I've re-sealed the edges of the aquarium to ensure that isn't going to be any leaks down the road. The 18w 10,000k light is burnt out, and its on order, but I desided to go ahead with...

Red Chili Coral - Please Help

I've had this Red Chili for a couple of weeks now, and it appears to be slowly getting worse. I've read that lighting isn't importand with this coral, but flow is, so its at the bottom of my tank near direct flow of one of my powerheads. I add ZooPlex, PhytoPlankton, and try to give it a few...

I don't plan on moving many more fish into the 55, just corals. And there isn't any specific plans for which ones :) Just whatever catches my eye that I happen to have the equipment to support. As goes for the BioCube, I haven't really decided what to keep yet. I was thinking of going small...

    Hey everyone.
