Hey everyone. I've got to say, after searching all over the place today, this community seems to be really helpful and nice :)
I guess I'll start by telling you how I got into fish-keeping :)
About a year ago now, I started my job at a local pet store here in El Paso, and within the first few weeks, I'd decided to purchase my first tank. I started with a 56 gallon (taller tank) that I kept successfully for about 10 months. I sold that tank when I learned that I needed to move, and that I could accommodate a 55 gallon.
The 55 has been up and running for two weeks now and has just completed it's cycling. I've got quite a bit in that tank, and I've taken one video of it so far :)

And just the other day, I bought a used 12x12x12 BioCube. I will be completing that tank as soon as I replace the 10,000k light in it =)
So I guess that's it for now :) any questions/comments, don't hesitate to ask :) I look forward to being a part of this community.

I don't plan on moving many more fish into the 55, just corals. And there isn't any specific plans for which ones :) Just whatever catches my eye that I happen to have the equipment to support.
As goes for the BioCube, I haven't really decided what to keep yet. I was thinking of going small seahorse. What do you think?

I was referring to the BioCube, sorry, should have been more specific.
I have baby Kuda Seahorses in my 14G BioCube, but I don't intend to keep them in there long term, only until they're a little older, then they'll go in a 30 tall. I guess Amit would depend on the type of seahorse you wanted to keep. I don't really know of any besides the Pygmy seahorses and they're very difficult to keep.

I've heard that the painted seahorses aren't too hard to keep, and don't grow to be large either. I'm not sure that's the correct name on them, that's just what they're called by the company our Pet Store buys our fish from.

Hi and welcome. How many Gal is the Biocube?? It is not suggested to have any lrg breed seahorses (erectus, Kuda or Reidi) in anything smaller then a 29 gal tank. Stop by the seahorse forum. There are some threads at the top of the forum that may help.

The part that holds the water (so, excluding the filter area) is 12x12x9, which should be just over 5 gallons. I plan to fill it up later today to be certain though. Thanks for the help, perhaps seahorses aren't for me :/ oh well :)
