I have these red branch like algea growing on my argomite coming out of a cave. They look like little twigs, when I syphon them they are hard. What is this.

I have a small tank and used ahsupply retrofit lights. I really like them.

Just a thought, but if this tank has only been running fro two weeks, test water often and maybe WC with RO water will keep the Tang and Clown from becoming too stressed.

How long has it been? I have found time can be best cure for algea, along with RO water.

Have you researched how to pair these up. I have a feeling it is next to impossible. I would add more LR. How old is the tank??

I have had great luck with ah supply and I think their products are worth the money.

I made mistake of putting Coral Branded Shimp with other shrimp. The others slowly disappeared. CBS is a great critter but not with other shrimp!

I also have seen gammas do this at lfs. They are usually high in the tank in the current of a ph when they lie sideways like they do??? Strange stuff, amybe disease board would have info, or a search?!!

Start slow with LR and LS. Ahsuppy has nice lighting for such a small tank. Take it slow.

I am just trying to figure out what light measurement is good. Found a great thread using LP/SA. Lumens x par/sguare feet of tank. It seems wpg has very little meaning, but is still used to talk about how much light a tank has. I like the LP/SA it makes sense.
