That is pretty much what I did when I moved. Do it in stages. Move the rock and sand, let sit for a few days, take your measurements. Move critters, crabs etc. Repeat testing. Then move fish (If possible), test, then corals. I would make the corals last as they are the most pickey.

Look at it this way, as opposed to everything else in this hobby, its a one time investment. PVC doesnt go bad.

I have 500W on my 75 and it is all over the place. High, low, glass, rocks. The trick is good water, high calcium, high strontium and sopme strong water flow. You need to spread the spores as well. I think this is one key element a lot of people miss.
