(make that 1.018 not 1.008)
I had a sump malfunction this morning and with my auto-top off it dropped my salinity to 1.018. I need to know how fast I can restore it up to 1.025?? My coral are awful, turning in on themselves and closing up.... It's my fault, I thought the auto-top off had broken so I didn't think to check the salinity this morning when it happened
I did a water change in my 55 gallon tank (20 gallon sump) when things started to go bad, again, I didn't consider the salinity. So the water change had water at 1.025 and was around 17 gallons... that means my salinity all night was WAY lower than 1.018.
So how fast can I move it back up? Do you think there's any chance of saving the coral?
