1.023 vs 1.026

still trying to figure this out .Im trying to do a reef tank with very few fish maybe none at all, so were is the best sg 1.023 or 1.026 at 80f. some say with fish 1.023 is good and the same with a reef and others say 1.023 fish only and reef tanks need to be 1.026.
Im lost whats the best sg for reef tanks

I always keep mine at 1.026 and never had a problem. Are you planning to add inverts? If so, best at 1.026. I bought a refractometer to be accurate and consistent.

For a tank with invertebrates, IMO, 1.025-1.026 is a must. Definitely no lower than 1.024, but even that is low, IMO.
