I used Locktite 7 min plastic weld, which failed like Tiger Woods Marrige.
1/4" brace. Necessary?

I used weld on. And yes it was a pretty ugly torch job. I used a blowtorch and warmed it up and folded it over. Wasnt the smoothest operation, but it did soften up and fold over.
Are you letting your glue bond? or did you fill the tank. You need to let it bond for at least 48 hours before putting stress on it.

hmmm. that might be the problem. I let it set for about 26 hours. It seemed cured and very strong by feel. couldnt mark the gule surface with my finger nail. The odd thing is when the tank is full I can easily push in the bowd front. It doesnt seem like a lot of force. And the glue said its two ton epoxy
