I was at a doctor’s office yesterday and they had a salt tank. In this tank they had 2 percs, a Niger Trigger, a damsel, and a Black Bird Wrasse. I thought that you could not put triggers in with clown fish.
Can you?
They also had some coral and I thought that was a no-no also, is it?

I have a huma huma with a clown. They are the best of freinds. but I've been told told that won't last for long. My clown is my favorite, he's got an awesome personality...........ergo.......a 29 gallon is in the works for the clown to have his very own home!!

If you try some of the planktonic triggerfish, one should have sucess keeping them with clowns. The more aggressive triggers will chomp corals. Its a gamble when trying the planktonic triggers.

Do your research...
Many Triggers, such as the O.Niger, and the Pinktail, are safe, as far as on a whole. Many others will eat only shrimp, snails, and crabs. Just a few are total hellions, as is the Humu. Age of the fish is a variable, too.
