..."deep purple alice cooper foghat pink floyd"
I'm 35, you got me only by 7yrs Tobin....and I was listening to those guys too in 8th grade thru HS, even though they weren't new, they were still new to me.

Ahhh Floyd, a staple of my childhood thru college....I'm praying they get back together like the eagles did cause they're on my "must see b4 I die" list. I'm afraid they won't

I did get to see The Who last year in Vegas tho...crossed that one off.
The Police are on that list too, so I got a good chance off getting to that one too.

Floyd, Steve Miller, Metallica, and Jimmy Buffett....the staples of my life.

Far out man!!
That had to be a dream job...seeing those guys for free
. I paid $100 to see the Eagles when they got back together.....and it was worth every penny.

I've got albums for everyone of those bands you mentioned and have only seen about a 1/4 of them. Got to see many local bands for free though, I tended bar thru college at some respectable....and not so respectable establishments in Myrtle Beach SC.

Tom Petty is on my list, seen blue oyster cult but not the others.
Speaking of Roger Waters...I had a DJ buddy at a radio station down there, he hooked me up with a video of Roger Waters doing the wall...live in Berlin. Roger does his parts and doing the parts of Gilmore was a crazy ensemble from Cyndi Lauper, The Band, Van Morrison, Thomas Dolby, Sinead O'Connor, The Scorpions, and Bryan Adams of all people. The performances are amazing.
It was a concert celibrating the Berlin wall coming down, 1990 I think. Amazing to watch and sounds phenomonal. If you get the chance to pick it up it's Roger Waters: The Wall: Live in Berlin. Netflix has got it.

That's why he's on my gotta see list...I've got all his albulms, even the Traveling Wilbury's. The one advantage of being older is that I'm not as broke as I was back then. LOL

Reading this thread reminds me what my wife and I always say to each other "Do you remember when MTV played music videos?"
