Depending on the bulb and ballast probably light blue. Typically 10Ks a re white and 20Ks are blue.

IT depends on what bulb and what ballast. My 20K's are crisp white with maybe a hint of blue. The 10K's that I have ran are more on the yellow side. IMO, the 10K and 20K combo is the best there is.

mine (Aqualine bulbs on HQI ballast and PFO DE pendant) come out to be a very light blue look......something like a 12k to a 14k bulb...............best color i think one can achieve.....
I will post pics in a few weeks

You might not like the look of just the 10K's without actinics. I don't know what kind of 20K bulbs Brad uses but the 20K's I use (radiums) are not actinics. Some 20K's might be a little on the blue side depending on the ballast but they are not actinics.
Actinics are nice to have but not needed. I haven't ran them for almost 5 years.

i agree with you that 20k aren't actinics....but they provide the sort of glow and blue spectrum that actinics do.......I would never run the Aqualines I have alone because they are very very blue when powered by HQI (and are double ended)......they are very close to actinics but do not quite give the 'neon' glow.

Im just going to get 3x 13,000k. That should have a blue tint to it. I really dont want to spend my money on vhos or pcs for the actinics.

do some reading if you thinking about the PFO 13K's, I have read nothing but bad things about em.

PFO doesn't put their name on a lot of light bulbs but they do on a 13K MH..I've enver used one so I couldn't tell you anything about it, only what I've read. I have used a few Ushio 10K's and IMO, they make the best 10K bulb, not the nicest looking and maybe not the best PAR but all around best bulb.
