10 Percent Water Change Every Week... Bad?

Every Sunday is my maintenance day. Even with a 47g my total time spent is about an hour to an hour and a half but my question is this. Every week I do a water change of 5g in my tank (roughly 10%). I've always read that you do a 5% change every week or a 10% change every two weeks.
My question is, am I doing any damage or losing any beneficial bacteria by doing 10% a week? My tank seems to be doing fine and my parameters are all good but I wanted to find out if I'm doing more damage over the long term.
Any advice would be appreciated. Pics below.

I have a 75g with 100lbs of live rock and a 29g sump filled about 2/3rds of the way. I fluctuate between 5g and 10g weekly water changes, depending on whether I feel I've overfed during the week or not.
I don't seem the harm in doing 10% weekly though, especially if you're keeping softies.
Nice tank.

I do about 10% a week on all my tanks. Actuall, my quarentine tank gets about 20% a week when there are fish in it. The beneficial bacteria don't live in the water column for the most part, the live on the surfaces of live rock, live sand, ect. That is why you want pourous live rock ideally, more surface area. You are not doing any harm in doing 10% waterchanges everyweek. Just make sure that the salinity and temperature of your newly mixed saltwater matches that of the tank so that you are not causing your inhabitants stress by doing a water change. HTH.

I do 5g every sunday on my 30g. you arent hurting a thing. the bacteria is on hard surfaces and 5g isn't enough to disrupt parameters much.

Same here, I do a 5 gallon change every weekend in my 46 bowfront. It seems when I slack too much there, I see not so welcome aftermath such as algea blooms, that kind of stuff.
Your tank is awesome, btw.

Thanks Lisa! Now if I could just figure out how to stop having to MagFloat my glass every single day from the light green dusting that it gets I'll be thrilled.
I am starting to see coraline on my PH's and the heater so I'm wondering if this is a good thing or if something is out of whack. Again, my params are fine but it's driving me nuts!

Weekly changes are more efficient in restoring lost minerals IMO.To bad im to lazy to do a water change every week.

Im sure it would benefit my tank.
I would have to say coraline is a good sign, you must be doing a good job keeping you params in balance with the weekly WC.
