100 gallon FOWLR

I decided to instead get a 100gallon so I could get 1 blue hippo tang and 1 koran or emporer angelfish. Will this work? And can any other fish be added?

A koran angel gets 15 inches, and the imperator gets 15 inches as well, so neither of those will work in a 100 gallon tank.

Rock beauty and those other two angels need a 100 gallon tank.. only one in a 100 gallon.
you can have one in there with some clown fish colonies and smaller fishes..
a Blue Girdled Angelfish can go in a 70 gallon...so can Annularis Angelfish..
Blueline Angelfish can go in a 50 gallon...

Turbulence, that website that you are getting your info off of gives MINIMUM tank size..
All of those fish need much larger tanks.
Tyler, if you really want an angel, I would look toward getting a dwarf angelfish.

exactly.....minimum for one..
and your not going to get them to grow to 15" anyway in captivity. It's even rare to buy them that size from the wild.

In my experience, most sites/stores/books that talk about minimum tank sizes usually have them grossly underestimated, probably because they know that most people will be put off if they read about fish that really require hundreds of gallons to properly care for. These sources are in the business of making money, and will tell you what you want to hear so that you will spend, spend, spend.
IMHO, a WELL-ESTABLISHED 100 gallon tank would be ok for something like an emperor angel to start, but in order for the fish to remain healthy into adulthood, you will eventually need a tank twice that size.

I beg to differ. I've seen emperors close to 15" for sale at my LFS.

a group of three yellow tang ang the hippo will do you justice, also adding great color if you have good lighting.

A Blue Girdled Angel grows to 10"..
you going to tell me a 10" fish can't be in a 100 gallon tank and be perfectly healthy?
be realistic..
A Blue Girdled Angel would be a perfect show fish for a 100 gallon tank.. if its the only large fish there.

I was just giving my opinion.
The blue girdled angelfish may do okay because it does not grow huge like the other angels, but they are not one of the easiest fish to keep. A yellow tang and/or hippo tang are much easier fish to keep, and you get the same amount of beauty and acitivty.
