1000 gal questions

I was recently placed in charge of a 1000 gal. salt water reef tank setup.
the tank was purchased from an old resteraunt, and will now be placed in a new store. I unfortunatly never saw how it was setup so I'm not super sure about all the piping and such for this one...
it's basically a rainbow acrylic with one overflow in the center.
also apears to have come with some sort of large scale filter box, sump system, and a giant box drip filter... I didn't see a protien skimmer so that is in definate order of purchase.
since the tank is bare dry right now, I have some questions.
right next to the over flow on the bottom of the tank apears to be a plug, is this commonly used for simply draining the tank? or is this used for some part of the sump system?
never worked with a sump but I don't believe the setup is all that complicated.... overflow, drip system, skimmer, sump, tank return.... correct me if i'm wrong.
all advice at this point while the stand is being constructed would be very helpfull. ((only on construction of setup please..))

pictures would help a little bit.... an overflow is an overflow is an overflow.
I figured out the bottom plug is just a drain.. no other use for it.
now it's just making sure my formula for the sump system is right.
tank out - drip, skimmer - sump - tank in.

what is this drip thing you are talking about? a wet / dry unit with bio balls?
what do you plan to do with the tank?

You better do you homework....That's alot of water and movement to keep a tank of that size....Alittle more than out, drip and in....
