Any advice on water changes and what EQUIPMENT is used to remove and add the water.
Also, I hope to be getting an RO>DI unit soon and was wondering how to use, all the specs.
thanks

55 gal garbage cans!
Mix up your new water in one and aclimate it, then siphon the water into the other can/ Finally pump the new water into the tank. Presto your done, minus some clean up. I use a sm rio to pump the new water into the tank and a siphon to clean the crushed coral bottom.

RE.. the RO filter.
Make your RO water ahead in the 55 can then mix in the salt. After youv'e transfered the new water to the tank empty the can and make more RO water for top offs untill the next water change.

instead of shiphon the water buy a cheap power head and go to Lowe's or Home Depot and get some clear tubbing that will fit the power head or water pump. drop that in main tank and pump water to what ever you are changing water to and then take the pump out of main tank and put it in tub of premix water. I use a small 10 gal tank that I always have mix in and change about 1/2 of that each week. This is much easier than using a shiphon. This may not work for all but it works for me! :joy:

I use the siphon to clean the CC and sand! Besides my powerheads are fixed in one position and if the water level drops the powerhead will pump air instead. But what ever works for you best is great.
