you need around 250-300 gph of circulation dont get a power that gives off that much for nanos you need like 3 ph with each going at 100 or so

i had two maxijet 400's for my 10gal......plenty of circulation....you could have more but you would kick up sand

having 1 powerhead for your entire flow requirement isn't bad. In fact, it's much more efficient than having 3 smaller ones. You can add a spraybar to space out the flow so that it's more dispursed.
