Sorry, this is a bit long......
I have a 58 gallon tank that has started out with a 250watt 10K Aqualine Bushe bulb. After 3 months of use I switched to a 12K Sunburst. I really liked the color but my frag of Zenia seemed to slow down in growth as did my small yellow porite frag. The Deresa clam, Toadstool Leather, and Colt frag seemed to do just fine. I switched back the the AB bulb and the Zenia took off again as did the porite. Recently I've aquired some marbeled Mushrooms, and 2 open Brain Corals.....one red and one green. They don't seem to be very happy with AB bulb (too much light). Also the Toadstool is not looking as good anymore. I've tried moving them to less light areas but doesn't seem to help. I'm tempted to go back to the 12K and see if the tank as a whole doesnn't do better. The Zenia is reproducing so fast under the AB I have to frag it to keep it contained. The small yellow porite is not one of my favorite corals.....may give it away at the next frag swap here locally. Question is this......will my open brains and 'shrooms like the 12K better? I also have a Hammer and Frogspawn that are doing fine......How will the 12K affect them? TIA

I think I'll see what happens with the 12K.
