Tank looks good. +1 on the background. I think it would really make your corals stand out, probably more than the blinds would. I used black felt on my 180 after it was up, alot easier than trying to use that plastic sheeting.

good idea, imo. i'd go with black, but a dark blue would work also.

I would also recomend a background in black or blue also, one more thing is that if that is what it appears to be (crushed coral) substrate I would definenty look in to changing it to sand in the near future.
