12 gallon aquapod.

I just ordered my 12 gallon aquapod. I also ordered a saltwater master test kit, sea salt reef crystals, 25 watt deluxe heater, nano Koralia water circulation pump, digital thermometer, nano protein skimmer, 20 lbs live sand, and a 150 HQI Sunpod. When that comes in i will get 15 pounds of live rock..anything i missed or anyone recommends me getting?

Sounds good, although that is gonna be a LOT of light for your little tank. Have you considered the viper 70 watt mh clip-on?

I was looking at the viper light, i heard that the light that comes with the aquapod would be plenty, i was buying it mainly for looks.lol. but yeah, i'll call and cancel the order on that and read up on the viper. if i stay with the hood that came with it should i get different bulbs? thanks for the help guys!

I think you will be fine with the stock lights. Should be able to keep softies as well as some lower light lps. My plan with my biocube is once the bulbs need to be replaced then I will upgrade

Sorry its been so long, heres a pic of the tank...not much, i go to college so i dont have alot of money, i have a zoa colony, some purple mushrooms, blue xenia, kenya tree, i no longer have the false perc, i only have the maroon, but they did get along, i also have a green clown goby, some blue leg hermits, asteas, cleaner shrimp, and emerald crab, in the back i have filter floss in the first compartment, live rock in the 2nd and third with a piece of egg crate on top with cheato on it and a 4watt fluorescent light, and i havfe a maxijet 900 in the last compartment, i found a guy locally getting out of the hobby so i got the 16.5" 70 watt sunpod for $50, as of now my plans are to get a green lobo brain this week, and save up money to get a pair of picasso clowns. I have a auto top off complete system and reefkeeperII on the way. Thanks for looking, and for the help getting me started.

looks good man i like the black false percs myself, not to big a fan of a maroon though, id get rid of it, get the pair of false percs and a purple firefish, that should be plenty as long as you stay on top of things

haha yeah, i've had a pair of false percs, sold them got a wild false perc, sold it, got the maroon with gold stripes...i'm happy with it until i can find some picasso's, i've thought about the blacks alot of people in my area have them for sale, i bought a helfrichi from a guy locally, it wasnt doing to well when i got it so its in my dads QT. Thanks for the suggestions and input. cant wait to get more corals and some more LR.

not a problem man, if you can get the picasso's, that'd be totally awesome, the problem with the maroon is he's gonna get about 6", which is just too big a fish for your cube :p besides, i just dont like em
but, the black false percs are my absolute favorite, and the helfrich, they're awesome lookin firefish, the purple's being next, follwed by the reg LOL

yeah, he's gotten alot bigger since i've gotten him a few weeks ago...and when he gets to big one of the kids i go to school with has a 75 he wants to put it in...and the sunpod was a heck of a deal if i do say so myself, i could have gotten his aquapod he had it on for another $50.lol.

12 gallon, he had a maxijet 1200 that he gave me for driving down to pick up the light, he also has a 75 completely full of sps, it looked amazing. he has a coral life protein skimmer (mixed reviews) that he has for sale for 40 dollars...he said he wasnt in it to make money, he just wanted to get rid of it.

Thanks, i'm hoping to get alot more corals put in it soon, i found a tank sitter over xmas break, i'm getting him a clam for keeping it a month (he doesnt know about it yet, i'll get it for him when i get back as a suprise) i'm getting the brain when i take it over to his house, he's had a brain for quite awhile now so i'm gunna let him take care of it to begin with, i'm new to lps and sps.

Couple more pics...I'm working on the hair algae, i ordered some tech-m (my mag is at 880 right now), and i am switching to rods fish food. Hope this does the trick.
