I think that the polls are pretty fun so here is another one. What fish would you choose to put in a 12 gallon FOWLR tank?

i would do:
2 B&W clowns. or regulars the B&Ws look cool
and maybe a watchmen. but only if you are god with your water changes. if your gonna slack then only do the clowns + CUC

I say get some type of shrimp goby like a yellow watchman, or any other type, and add a pistol shrimp.

Wish i got these instead of nemos, but the kids wanted nemo.Anyway i think this would work.Yes ,clowns MAY grow to 4in.,but not likley in home tanks, and would probably take years...They should live nice healthy lives given proper care...JMO. What are dims on your a 12 gallon?

Honestly I would not put a clownfish in that size tank. Yes they may not grow to full size but that's not a good thing, that's unhealthy and stunting. Find a couple full grown clownfish, it's amazing how large they really can get. I also don't think a 12 gallon should be a folwr though, if you want a fish tank buy a larger setup, somehow nano REEFS have become nano-shove as many fish as possible tanks. I would go for the high fin goby and cover the tank, buy a couple small cool inverts for something to watch. Watchmen gobies get to 4 inches, again not a good choice for this size tank. Sixlines are too large and active, court jesters often do poorly in small tanks.

I'm with petjunkie.I am definitely NOT one of those "20 gal per fish inch" types, but if you want to display fish, get something bigger. I can wear a pair of shoes 1 size too small, but it is not comfortable or healthy.Heck, after setting up a small reef in my 125 gal tank, I have come to understand how small the environment for these fish really is.

The reason why it is going to be a FOWLR is because I don't want to do corals right away. Eventually I'll make it into a reef.
