i was just at the LFS and they have a knock off nanocube setup with 18 watts of lights, and a power head.
nothing else. they have some soft corals and some seahorses
is this possible? i might setup my 10 gallon tank i have if so.
i mean i saw it working, there was no algae or anything, i dont see how that happens

You would probably want a filter of some sort, a heater, and a sand bed too. :)

I don't see why not. Filtration, heating, lighting, and water movement are the basics for any SW tank. What do you want to put in it? :)

i was thinkin just corals, maybe a clown or gobie or something small
cause i have an extra 10 gallon tank in my garage, id just need a light and powerhead since i have a heater already

With 18 watts you could only keep really zoos and shrooms...but they won't keep their color for very long and will most likely turn brown.
