nice tank do all those clowns get along with each other?
4 different species of clowns, all get along. False Perculas (3), tomato, gold band maroon, & black & white (2). If you introduce them all at the same time, you normally won't have any troubles. I have also found that out of the clowns, the tomatoes, cinnamons & maroons are the most aggressive, but that's in my experience. Actually, the largest & smallest of my perculas I have had since 2000 and they get along well with everybody! Not an aggressive bone in their bodies! LOL

Thats one of the most natural looking aquascapes ive seen.Looks great.
Thank you! I have worked hard to accomplish that, as we all have, and while I may still make some subtle changes, the way it is, is the way it's going to be for a while. It's tough to rearrange all of that rock, you almost run out of room. LOL But again, thanks, I take pride in our tank!

I hope I am wrong , and I just may be , but I think you may get a late cycle
Being as the tank is so big and the fact that not all of you'r rock was cured. I set up a little nano with all cured LR and Live CC , and never saw a cycle , but like I said it was only 24gal and ALL the rock and CC was "live" hope you don't have any spikes!!! good luck , the tank looks GREAT
lOVE BOW FRONT TANKS!!!

I hope you are wrong as well!
We are good, so far. If ammonia, nitrites/trates, etc. were going to spike, it would have happened already, I like to think! We are going on our 3rd week & still nothing. Everything is going well, but I am keeping my fingers crossed. Each day I test my parameters and each day the test returns zeros. Each day that passes and I get zeros on my tests is a good day. Again, we are going on week 3, and good water parameters! Keeping my fingers crossed!

Thanks bro, it took a while, but I ended up sticking with this aquascape! I am sure I will change it around eventually though!

Mine happened in the end of 3rd week and I was sure I wasn't getting any, because of the fully cured LR and LS.
That Sweetlip is beautiful and very unique looking fish!! I do notice it's fins have been nipped. Any idea who is picking on him?

The Sweetlip came from the LFS and he was in the tank with some Triggers, Puffers etc. and obviously they had been nipping, that's partly the reason I bought him, that & because he is AWESOME, LOL! Every fish that I own are peaceful fish and I can honestly say that I have never witnessed any aggression by any of my fish towards others, even with my diverse group of clowns. I love the fact that all of my fish are peaceful towards one another, it really puts a smile on my face! As for the cycle, I believe I am in the clear, I know there are variations as far as different tanks/different situations, but I have been doing this for a while, and continually monitor my water parameters everyday (costing me a fortune, lol) and I will be doing it for about another week, as far as everyday, then I will be switching to my normal, 3-4 times per week. Basically, if anything happens, I am prepared, and that's about all you can really do! But so far, everyone is doing well, and everyone has survived the transfer!

That sweetlips is one awesome fish. Can't wait to see some pictures of the Naso.
What are your thoughts for final stocklist and plans for the tank? I can't wait to see this one progress. You have one great start.

It's tough! I went from having a totally finished (I say that every time, and keep adding) 40 gallon to a 120 bow front & my current plans are to keep adding coral, as for the fish stock list, I am finished. We have 10 fish already, and now I set my sights on filling up with waaaay more coral, now that I have tons of room. In fact, I added 5 pieces over the weekend, so I will post some updated pics soon! I have seen quite a few 29 gallon cubes on here, and man do they have those tanks filled with coral, and they are superbly beautiful! I am not big into clutter, so I like even lines & spacing, which is a personal preference to be honest. This is my old 40 gallon, you can kind of get a feel for how I like to set up my tanks, but who knows, I have had the coral bug really BADLY for the past year or so, so we will see.

I had to re-read your above post. I kept looking at the picture and wondering how on earth you could already have cyno in a new tank. Duhh me.
How do you like Firefish (see one in your pics)? I'd love to have a pair in mine but from what I've read, my Midas blenny could pick on them.

My wife LOVES our firefish! She calls him Rico Suave, because he acts all cool & suave, not to mention he looks really cool! To be honest, I am just not sure about the midas blenny picking on him, because I haven't had any trouble with any of my fish picking on him, or vice versa, and my first set up, in a 29 gallon included a firefish & midas blenny. The only blenny we have now is the lawnmower/sailfin/algae blenny or whatever you want to call him, and they are buddies! I can say that I NEVER had any trouble with my midas picking on any of my fish, especially the firefish, and they were in a small tank, if you have a tank bigger than 29 gallons (which I am sure you probably do) then I wouldn't worry about, and make that purchase. The only thing I would do, which I am sure you would do because most saltwater caretakers know to automatically do this, is to observe them to see if he would pick on the Firefish, but I honestly don't think you would have any trouble, and if you do make that purchase, and they do have some issues, I will buy him off of you & add another to my tank! :) I would definitely suggest a firefish to most people just because they are so full of personality and are mostly always out & about in the tank. It was one of the first fish I bought back in 1999-2000, and there hasn't been a time that I haven't had one in my tank! We love Rico!
The only thing I read about the midas & firefish is that the midas may "nip" at the firefish & gobies, but that's due to the confining nature of a small tank, but nipping is understandable and you can be tolerant of that, it's the aggressiveness that's a big no no! Of course, I KNOW that I am preaching to the choir, so I will stop. But if you want to purchase one, and you have issues, we love them so much that I promise I will buy it off of you! :) On a side note, I will be posting some more tank shots after lunch today. Added a few more coral over the weekend! I have it bad guys! :)
