Hey there everybody. I was just setting up my 120g 5foot long fowlr. I'm going to get a 15"sfe and thinking on getting a lionfish.(probably volitans). and an angel.
Or I could do like 3 fuzzy dwarfs and more smaller fish. I just have no idea how to do it.
I already have the sfe so that is definately going in there.
any other recommendations.

the eel, a dwarf lion, a flame angel, and 3 squarback anthias would look REALLY nice, only problem is the anthias need to be fed 4x per day

I like that too but my favorite fish is the volitans. and my fish store hasn't had a lot of luck finding lionfish.
how about this
1 sfe
1 volitans
1 yellow tang
1 emperor angel

either the yellow or a purple id do the purple just for more color to the tank. Inverts will probley be out due to the tusk. I think you might be at your limit with the currant list with out the flame or the flagfin. what will you be useing for filltration? and a skimmer?

I have a wet/dry. With school and everything by the time I get going it will be some time right now. I have no skimmer and I'll try to make a sump.

A good skimmer is a must with aggressive fish due to the amount of waste they produce and the fact that they are messy eaters. Sump/fuge are simple just need a used tank like a 30.

I don't have a lot of clearance in my stand so I don't know what skimmer would work good.
The equipment right now is out of the question. All I want to know is if it'll work.
so how is this list
sfe
volitans
flagfin
tusk/tang

Ya that will work. Just keep an eye on the v-lion and the eel. Read the thread that has the title bloated eel. As to why.

thanks alot. I already read the one that the lion might of have stung the eel. I know I will need a protein skimmer and get some type of plant in my tank. suck as maidens hair.

Flagfin would be the largest angel I would suggest in a 5ft tank. Also I would not suggest dwarf lions with the angel, it is possible the angel will pick on the lion so hopefully the size of the volitan will prevent that. I would suggest the purple tang, IMO a yellow angel wouldn't look good with yellow tangs.
Purple tang
Flagfin
Volitan
SFE
Next choice would be a wrasse or smaller grouper, red tailed grouper is one of the smaller. So you will have the colors purple, yellow, black brown striped, how about a red grouper or wrasse.

so is this the list
eel
volitans
flagfin
powder blue tang
and a wrasse
I'll have to upgrade my 110 with a better filtration though but Once I get rid of a piccaso trigger that I have right now and get my parameters to the best spot and buy some type of plant I'll go with the volitans, then tang, then wrasse, and then finally the flagfin. I will also need a skimmer because the one I have is for 60g.
