125 gal Lights and Powerheads?

Hi! This is my first post in the DIY section. I currently have a 58 gallon (young) reef tank. I just purchased a 125 gallon. I think I'm going to get rid of the 58 gallon and my corals and start from scratch. The only non fish inhabitant of the tank I currently plan to have is an Anemone. I'm not really sure what kind yet. But I think they all have pretty much the same lighting requirements. Probably a pink bubble tip, though. I am really having a hard time finding affordable lights that will do the job, so any advice would be GREATLY appreciated! Also, I just read a forum on propeller type powerheads, saying that anemones tend to get sucked up into intakes. I was looking at getting 2 820 SEIO pumps, but what would you guys recommend? Thanks in advance for all your advice!

For my 125 I just bouht two Hydor Koralia 3 Centrifugal Pumps, they seem to get good reviews. Although I have not hooked them up, because I am also starting a new tank.

In the end its all up to you. Do you want PH in the tank visible? Or do you want a Closed Loop? As for your lights. Auction sight can get you what you want. Also, don't get rid of your 58g tnak, use it as a sump.

I also have two Hydor Koralia #3s for my 125 tank and love them. I'm also trying to figure out what lights to go with, but will more than likely get two 36" Nova Extreme T-5 Fixtures. They are the best lights I've seen for the price.

Right now I just have my lights sitting on top of my tank, I have a brace on either side of my overflow, plus I have some egg crate covering the entire top (so my Goby does not escape). So at this point, yes they would be sitting right on top, but as soon as my husband builds the canopy we will hang them (it will be a homemade job, but I think it will work).
In this picture the egg crate is just in the middle, but it's now on both sides as well.

are you happy with the lights that go in through the egg crates....is it a noticable difference...thanks...thinking of getting two 36" for my new125 but my only option would be to hang units

The egg crates don't effect the lights at all, at least I can't see any difference. And really, that's what they are made for anyway, to cover lights.
