125 reef lighting

Also any lighting suggestions on a 125 reef :notsure: In the 75 that i have, i use two CORALIFE AQUALIGHT with 4x65 wat bulbs in each. (i generally keep shrooms, frogspawn, bubbles, toadstools, brains, elegance)

if you can afford it id go with 3 175watt MH bulbs. that way you wont have to upgrade in the future.

if he is going to go with halide i would go for the 250 watt setup.... there not that much more and you would be able to keep the more light dependant corals..... jmo...good luck!

We have the Current Orbit 3x150w hqi, 4x96w pc and keep everything from softies to sps and clams.

Yep best bang for he buck.....If you decided to go to a bigger tank the lights will swap over to the new tank.......150HQI's? Might work depending on the depth of the new tank if it would happen.

Depends on brand if you want a retro where you just bolt it in or are you a DIY? That plays alot into the picture as well.......Check out Custom Aquatics, Premium Aquatics, HelloLights, and such......They usually have a good selection.
