Not much to update here... The drywall is going up in the basement right now. That means that I hope to have this tank up in about the next month. I havent bought anything else that I can think if.
Trying to decide what kind of stocklist for this aquarium.. I think I want to go with something other than your everyday FOWLR.
1)I thought about one show fish with a bunch of other little fish.
2)Angel Aquarium- mainly angels
3)Little fish- All little fish
4)species
Ideas? Question? Comments? Concerns?

How's this for a species tank?

Queen Trigger
Undulate Trigger
Clown Trigger
Blueline Trigger
You'd probably need a little bigger tank though. But if I had a 200+ gal I'd be very tempted to go with just those 4 bada$$ fish.

After the AC unit going down at my house this weekend and having to float ice in bottle and zip locks in all my tanks this weekend I say keep it simple.
How's this?
Lg - Queen Angel (You know you want it)
Med - Dragon Moray
a large mix of various Damsels, Chromis, and other small quick/cheap fish
and a large clean up crew or hermits and snails.
If I ever Downsize to a 156g or 180g this will be my plan.

I have been thinking of just doing a few large angels with a bonch of cheap dither fish. I would not feel right putting a dragon moray in such a short aquarium. I love the idea, but I know that it would not be happy.

The height is what bothers me. Only 17" for a 3' eel? It just seem to short for such a large eel. I also don't know if I could trust one with a queen angel
. If it hurt a queen it would have to go.
The idea of an eel is always in my head, but I always talk myself out of them. I just don't know for the price of the eel if I want chance it.

Got just the one for you that would keep your Angels safe and stay around 2'.
Golden " Banana" Moray. Passive, colorful, small.
Perfect.

Here is the aquarium look that I am going for. (Most of you probably know who's aquarium it is. Hope he doesn't mind me using the picture.) I love how it looks so calm and peaceful with very few fish. I would love to recreate this look.

Not to call Chris out or anything (maybe just to get him to post here
), but I don't his tank was ever what I would call 'lightly stocked.' In just that picture, there the Emp, Blueface, Naso, Niger, Hippo, and a Clown Trigger. Later he would add a Queen, Bandit, and X-hatch after removing the Clown.
Not saying anything's wrong with that, and if anyone is capable of it, it's Chris, just lightly-stocked doesn't come to mind...

LOL, you beat me to it...CC's 180 is anything but lightly stocked, it is a great tank though and he has excellent filtration.

Actually, I am pretty sure this was taken before the clown trigger. I guess when I look at the picture all I really see at first glace are the two angels. That is what I am looking for.

I never said it was lightly stocked, I said it had very few fish. I was compairing it to what it looks like now I guess.

There, I took out the other fish... That is what I am looking for in an aquarium.

I know I can do it, I just wanted to show people what I was thinking if they couldn't picture it.
